Odd-looking Fish With Eerily Human-Like Teeth Caught In Malaysia
A strange fish with a full set of teeth that resemble human teeth has been caught by an angler. After being hooked in Malaysia, the odd fish has gained internet fame.
Pictures of the fish rapidly went viral because of how incredibly similar its chompers are to those of a person. Thousands of people posted a photo of the strange fish as they made assumptions about who it was and whether it was even real.
Amazingly, it is a real species of fish with teeth. It has been recognized by The Rakyat Post as a triggerfish, which is widespread in the waters off Malaysia. Triggerfish are found in about 40 different species. Most of them have vivid colors and live in tropical and subtropical seas.
According to National Geographic, males are known to be violent and territorial, charging at intruders and even engaging in combat with crabs and sea urchins using their ғᴇᴀʀsome fangs.
The toothy creature became an internet ʜɪᴛ as users tried to transform it. The fish received a manicure to match its gnashers and a set of fake eyelashes in one rebirth.
It’s not the only fish species with unusual teeth. Villagers in West Papua were astounded by a strange fish that a teacher had caught that had teeth that were “human-like.”
